The Kingdom

If you enjoy action movie, this movie is your sort.
If you always concern of the endless wars in lotsa hostile countries, you will be interested in this movie.
If you are curious what is the thinking of the citizen living in chaos, and even the secret power behind which force some people to risk their life for something they believe are worthy, I guess this movie can give you some idea as well.

Jamie Foxx, one of the current best actors in Hollywood, is the main attraction for me initially for this movie, but then I knew I will like it after a few scenes in the beginning of the story - it tells you the story in middle east, the disputable role of US in this place, the different thinking and story of Saudi Arabian, and of course, the force which makes both US army and t*rrorist to fight for the justice they believe. Most importantly, this movie is sitting on the fence thoroughly, no particular stand in either party, no religion discrimination and no US ego which I never buy it.

I can't help shedding my tears in the last scene, when the Arabian officer, Colonel Faris sacrificing his life for the faith he believes - peace. Colonel Faris is my favourite character in this film, because he believes in peace, regardless of anything. He is a warm-hearted mankind who disagree in simply taking people life, which is so contradict with those cruel "masked warloads" who are willing to risk others life for their own benefit.

"What did you tell her that day?"
One of the FBI agents asked Officer Ronald what did he tell Officer Janet to comfort her of losing their teammate in a well-planned attack.

"What did grandfather tell you when he was dying?"
The daughter of the General Al Abdulmalik asked her lil girl after their compound demolished by FBI and her father died.

"We will kill everyone of them."
The same answer of both of them. The endless war.

Fusion Haven

Fusion cuisine, the cuisine with a style of cooking that uses ingredients and techniques from around the world, especially one combines Eastern and Western influences. I'm a food lover, I alwiz wanna try different kinds of great food, but then, fusion cuisine is alwiz EXPENSIVE, or high-end where you might need to spend a few hundred bucks per meal, but hey..... I've found one, I mean, it's introduced by my food kaki, but it's the great one, the great cuisine with the reasonable price!!

I paid a visit to the restaurant in Sri Petaling on a Saturday night, wishing to get something special and delicious, and yes, I got that!!

Look at what we've ordered:

Dsc00201

Appetizer: Vietnamese Baked Mussels, it's full with ginger taste and unique. Not so fatty but still, I prefer the mussel with lemon sauce in Fish & Co. :p

Dsc00200

Main course 1: Milan Style Fried Chicken, luv the special made sauce, and guess what, the lil orange brown thing is RICE!! Cool huh~~

Dsc00202

Main course 2: Japanese Miso Spicy Baked Butter Fish, oh, I luv the spicy miso thing paired with the fish. It suits gal because it's in small portion. =)

Dsc00205

Dessert: Chocolate Mud Cake with Ice-Cream, you can see the chocolate flowing out from the mud cake when you cut it, yummy~

The food served with "style", and they're undeniably delicious with a very acceptable price, although the dessert is a lil bit too sweet for me. :)

We managed to chit chat with the boss, and hey, he is one great cuisine lover too!! He is a friendly and funny man, the funniest thing is, he dislike and he does not believe in occasion promotion, such as Valentine Dinner because, "I do not feel good to earn double on occasion while at the same time, limit people the food choice," he said. "Let them choose what they like to eat."

I'm glad that he is a food lover than a restaurant owner, and I'm glad that I got the chance to know it - FUSION HAVEN. =)

Way Back Into Love

I love music, I mean.... great music (for me), but you might find something "weird" with me, that is, 90% of the albums I bought are.... ceng ceng ceng~~~ ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK.

Movies with great music totally blow me off, and I will do everything I can to get the soundtrack for my collection, but still, I couldn't get "Moulin Rouge 1" until now.... :( My friend even can't get it for me in US... sob sob.

Anyway, that's too far from what I wanna share today, ahem.
There is another soundtrack which I likeeeee.... MUSIC AND LYRICS!!
Coz... coz coz I'm a fan of Hugh Grant!!! (ohhhh.... mature handsome charming MAN!!) and "WAY BACK INTO LOVE" he sing along with Drew Barrymore, omigod, the song is sooooo sweet. =)

You might wonder why the heck now only I blah so much about the soundtrack of this old movie?!
Becoz, I accidentally heard this song from the radio when I'm on my way back from office, and suddenly the sweet feeling just engulf my soul.... especially after another hectic day. Argh.

Hugh Grant, you rock!! Never thought that you can sing that well!!
But of course, still have to improve the skill compared with MY EWAN MC GREGOR. :p

Yummy Yummy Journey

Well, I know I gained weight recently... my puffy face is getting more and more bulat, but then, who cares? Let me complete my Hari Raya yummy yummy journey!!

Yummy yummy 2nd round:
Went for brunch with YJM's family in the "Long Dek Qun Yan" restaurant in One Utama. We had ra-mee, fried rice, claypot rice, the legendary Siu Long Bao and hey, my favourite fried durian dessert!!! Yeah!!
The food is undeniably delicious, including the soooo common fried rice, but it is indeed tasty!! But somehow, I'm kinda disappointed with the Ra-mee... erm, not my sort probably. The Siu Long Bao tastes good as usual, but ceng ceng ceng, here comes my favourite, the FRIED DURIAN DESSERT, omigod omigod, it's really finger-licking good :p (luckily no one took the picture of my greedy face :|)

*For dim-sum lover, there is one nice and cheap dim sum shop at PJ SS2, its name is "Tian Xin" - Sweetheart, not bad, should give it a try, but then, I was kinda disappointed with the "Tai Tong" noodle and dim sum shop.... aiks, thumbs-down.

Yummy yummy 3rd round:
Housemate's gf was here, she was looking for the traditional thai fried kangkung for sooooo long time, and hence, we brought them to the 100% original thai food stall in Jalang Gasing!! We had the 100% thai fried kangkung, the tomyam fish, cashewnut chicken in yam basket, the famous tradiational food "Cha Ong" and my favourite, SEAFOOD TOMYAM!! Wowwww..... I ate and ate and ate, can't help obsessed wif tomyam tomyam, hehehe...

For thai food lover, this stall is a very economic place for thai food, it's not expensive at all, and the food is great!!

*Anyhow, not really fond of the fish though*

Yummy yumm 4th round:
Just took a stroll in The Ikano, no where to go, just had our dinner at Kluang Station. The coffee is great, as usual, but then I was kinda surprised by its soooo ordinary fried beehon, the Kluang Siam Beehon.... wow the bihun indeed tastes good!! I enjoy having ordinary cheap delicious food, instead of luxury expensive unaffordable cuisine (becoz I am so damn poor :p)

Anyway, what a shame that I did not take any single photo of 'em, becoz..... I had no time for tht :p I couldn't wait enjoying my food served rather than taking pretty photo for them, keke. So now, it's your turn to search for nice food and introduce to ME!! Go go go!!

Yummy Yummy

Today is the greatest festival of our Malay buddies, and also, MA HOLIDAY!! Weeee!!

So, in order to "celebrate" my great day, I lazed away my time on my lovely bed for half day.... and being "forced" to take a stroll in Midvalley for some personal reasons. :p

So, the consequence of the "Midvalley lepak-ing" is... I spent a lot AGAIN!! :(
In order to comfort the fragile me, YJM offered to buy me smth sweet for tea-time. *winkz*

Picture4As I reached the little corner called "Sweetchat", I can't wait to rest on the cozy couch.... omigod my poor little feet.... and wow, there are quite a lot of people queue up, hmph....

Picture3Few minutes after that, wow, here comes my favourite durian pancake!!! Can't wait to telan 2 of them before I remember to take a picture of the little delicious stuff, heh. Omigod.... I LOVE DURIAN FOREVA!!

And here comes the dessert, the black glutinous tong yun!! Nice!! Anyway the tong yun is half-biten in the picture... so... kinda ugly, but it's indeed nice!! Don't judge a book by its appearance, k? :p

So, another thumb-ups tea time corner for me, what about you?
